When to go?  We think the very best times to go are April/May/June/early July (warm/hot by day - warm evenings from mid May) or September/October (hot days, balmy nights, sun not so fierce). High summer (late July & August) is hot and busy . Winter has plenty of warm sunshine for sunbathing and lunching outside - a good and quiet time for getting out and about.
